June 14, 2024 | Breeze Airways "Breezed" its way to New Hampshire on a hot and muggy Friday morning as the first-ever flight from Breeze arrived at the airport at 11:45 am EDT. Breeze Airways inaugurated its first flight beginning with Charleston, SC (CHS) which departed at 9:30 am EDT on a then 1.5-year-old Airbus A220-300 Airplane.

This was the first time an Airbus A220 had ever flown into the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

About the same size as an Airbus A318, the aircraft is modern, sporting two PW1000 engines, which make a distinct sound when spooling up, which makes it a favorite among aviation enthusiasts who spot the aircraft. Breeze has about 25 Airbus A220s in their fleet, with an additional 66 on order. With this aircraft, Breeze can offer products not found on a conventional Low-Cost Carrier, which can be attributed as a new "Premium Low-Cost Carrier", where prices are still low, and oftentimes costs can add up as items are added, such as advanced seat selections or adding a bag.

Breeze offers a 2-2 First class configuration, and a 3-2 economy section as well. Breeze offers Wi-Fi on board certain A220's, which is free for on-board entertainment, while it costs $8, or 800 BreezePoints to access the full experience. The Wi-Fi was fast, and no issues arose when used.

Food and drinks are also available to purchase, beginning with $4 drinks, up to a $12 bundle with a drink and snack. Those on Breeze Ascent get only a Free Drink, which is only complementary once.

Breeze Airways celebrated the Inaugural flight by hosting the party at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The flight, which originated from Charleston, was about mostly full. A Few aviation enthusiasts from New Hampshire flew down to Charleston to experience Breeze for the first time.

At the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, Ted Kitchens, the Airport Director, welcomed the passengers of both the incoming, and outgoing flights. Ted Kitchens hosted a press conference, iterating that flying out of Manchester is cheaper to fly out of compared to Boston.

Breeze becomes the third airline to join the MHT roster since Spirit in 2021. Breeze will be utilizing the modern Airbus A220 aircraft for all its routes and will be offering CHS twice a week Mondays and Fridays, along with Orlando, which also began service the same day as Charleston.

Breeze is hopeful to expand in Manchester as flights fill, and they hope to offer more destinations similar to that of Providence, RI (PVD), so the possibility of seeing Manchester to Los Angeles is not too far off in the distance.

Breeze will offer flights to CHS, MCO, RSW, and BreezeThru Service to TPA.

Breeze is offering a limited-time sale for flights as low as $69, and must be booked by June 20, 2024, for flights up to July 1, 2024*
